Ted Widen

Ted Widen is a Lincolnwood native and former mortgage broker and Realtor. He has owned and invested in homes in Old Town, Winnetka and Wilmette, IL over the years. Ted has harnessed his passion and knowledge for Chicagoland and real estate and uses it to his success.

In 1998 Ted started ChicagoScene.com, one of the first local online guides to dining, entertainment and lifestyles in the country. In 2001, he expanded the Chicago Scene brand to include Chicago Scene Magazine. Both the website and magazine focused on many of the most popular neighborhoods in Chicago, and the unique atmosphere that makes each of the neighborhoods special. For the past 20 years, he has produced some of Chicago’s most exciting “Bucket List” events, including the New Year’s Eve Party at The Drake Hotel attended by over 3,000 people each year and the Chicago Scene Boat Party attended by over 700 boats and over 10,000 people each year.

Now, Ted brings his experience to Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Chicago and has partnered with Mark Kaplan of Marc Construction and Development and Helaine Cohen of ChicagoCondoFinder.com to better serve the Chicagoland buyers, sellers, renters, and investors. Ted’s career revolves around knowing the Chicago scene and every hot, up and coming neighborhood.
